Happy Birthday, John!!
It seems that wherever we wished to go in the New Orleans area, we were either taking a ferry or traveling over a bridge...
Some bridges we traveled over, just because it was cool...
Causeway Bridge. world's longest bridge over a body of water; 23.87 miles long; 15 feet above Lake Pontchartrain
we drove past this cemetery on our way to the causeway
And others out of necessity...
Mississippi River
You never know what sights you'll see on the other side of the bridge...
one of the many bayous
Some days, bridges were not needed. We just drove around the corner from the state park
to the fish market to pick up something for dinner...
Seafood markets lined both sides of the parking lot. Fresh crawfish, tilapia, jumbo shrimp,
catfish as well as crab could all be found here...

hot cracklin or pork rinds, along with produce and seasoning is sold here
we purchased some great jumbo shrimp at this stand
Ron's turn to cook. We purchased some jumbo shrimp to grill...
busily cleaning them
they were great!!
We have so enjoyed our time here in New Orleans. Now, it is time to move on.
Where to? We're not sure. That is one of the best things about being full-time
RV'ers...we don't have to make definite plans. We're thinking that we'll either go to
St. Augustine or Savannah...weather depending.
Til next time,
Ron, Dawn & Cooper
