Today was a beautiful sunny day, perfect for traveling.  So travel we did!  Headed to Texarkana. Texas that is!!  We will stay at Shady Pines RV Park with Becky and David for a couple of days before heading to Waco.

We attended church with David and Becky.  We went to Antioch Christian Church in Hooks, TX.

Antioch Christian Church is a small, country church.  Very similar in theology to Methodism.  Warm and very friendly church.  We felt so welcomed!  The service was laid back and comfortable.  The message was outstanding!  And, we were mugged!!

While in Waco, we'll be staying at Airport Park, which is on Lake Waco.  Airport Park is an Army Corps of Engineers Park; it is a very beautiful park.  Our lot was on a bluff overlooking the lake,

while David and Becky were right on the lake.  Tonight, New Year's Eve, we're heading over to Tom and Dee's for some food and fun!!

A beautiful, warm and sunny day.  Temps in the low 70's. A beautiful day to do just about anything, from soaring high in the sky to 

 playing with a new friend..

 David and Becky came over to watch some football, the Rose Bowl, of course!! Great game.  Even more so as Michigan State won!! Oh, besides football, we managed to share a dinner (supper for all you southerners) of pork loin, mashed potatoes and black-eyed peas.  Being from "the north" I never knew that black-eyed peas are a "must" for New Year's Day.  Becky graciously brought a pot over...

2013 has been a year of adventures for us! A year of new sights and new friends.  We are blessed beyond measure!! We are looking forward to new adventures in 2014.  

We wish all of you good health, happiness and the hope that a New Year brings.  May God continue to pour out his many blessings on you all.
