Looks like a line-up to me!!
While the work continued on the homes, Miss Pat held sway at Sidewalk Sunday School. The children loved her!
It's not ALL hard work here at the Spirt Lake Ministry Center,
We do manage to have fun with THE GATOR!!
While doing a garbage run!!!
While work continued off-site, part of the St. Mary's of Ohio group sorted and folded clothing that had been donated. They are doing a great job!!
Dr. Russ McDonald stopped by again to speak of the commonalites and differences in our cultures.
Russ also drummed and sang a prayer song for us
It's been a fun, hot and busy week thus far. The team finished one roof
YAY!!!!
Work continues in Tokio on the two homes we are rehabbing. One will be finished this afternoon. The tribe is sending a crew over to texture the walls. The other home will be finished tomorrow.
The crew from the completed home came back to the Ministry Center. They have begun clearing out brush to make way for the prayer garden.
It's been a long and very busy week here. After dinner last night, the roofers went back to the home in St. Michael's to finish the roof. Rain's a-coming. The owners were so grateful, they gave the team a gift of sweet grass. Sweet grass is sacred to the Native Americans.
Today (Thursday), the painting will be completed at both of the homes in Tokio, work continues on the prayer garden and a new home in St. Michael's is getting mucked out and cleaned. Ready for rehab.
The teams will be leaving tomorrow; St. Mary's of Ohio in the morning and Oil City in the evening. The team from Oil City has an end of mission tradition. They dine out for a celebratory dinner at the end of their mission week. They invited Mike, Libby, Diana, Ron and myself to dine out with them and help them celebrate a great week of mission. We went to the Ranch Steakhouse on Friday night and had a blast. Their train leaves tonight at 11:30. They will be missed.
Sunday, two more teams will arrive -- Gladewater, TX and Elgin, IL. About 39. Looking forward to another great week.
