It's been the summer of the family weddings!! First my nephew Steven and the lovely Miss Emily were married in Seaford, Delaware on June 29...

And now it is Steven's older brother, Daniel and the beautiful Miss Katie's turn. They are to be married on August 9 in St. Charles, Missouri.

Thursday, August 7 found us driving north to St. Charles. St. Charles is a quaint city located northwest of St. Louis on the Missouri River. It was founded in 1765, which makes St. Charles the third oldest city west of the Mississippi. It was also the first state capitol of Missouri.

After shopping, John and family left to do take care of some wedding details. My dad and his wife, Joyce, joined us for lunch. We ate at the Little Hills Winery which is one of the great restaurants located in the historic district

Saturday, August 9
Today's the day!!! Let the nuptials begin! It was an early afternoon ceremony, the weather was perfect!

Monday, August 11
After a fun-filled weekend, it was time to say goodbye and head back to Branson. Goodbyes are always hard, but particularly after this weekend. It was good family-time...

We are just so happy for and proud of Dan & Steven. They've both married wonderful women whom we are grateful to call our nieces!! We just love them both and are so glad that Katie and Emily are a part of our family!!!
